Service Evaluation

Service Evaluation is undertaken to benefit those who use a particular service. It is designed and conducted to define or judge current services. We use service evaluation to measure what has been done, against the original aims of what we set out to do. That way, we can provide a dynamic service to our members, safe in the knowledge that we have firm evidence about the positive impact of the services we provide.



Evaluation of the ABLE Project

An evaluation of a three year Lottery funded project designed to engage with young people, based on a review of client contact, longevity of support provided and perceived outcomes (including uptake of volunteering and employment opportunities), along with a number of in-depth interviews.

Review of Niamh Peer-Advocacy Training

Strategic Review of Advocacy provision in Northern Ireland, alongside an evaluation of Niamh’s supported peer model (NSPM) Training programme (part-funded by Northern Health and Social Care Trust)

Evaluation of Live & Learn

Live & Learn’ is a 5-year project funded by the Big Lottery Fund. Those taking part in Live & Learn training and development activities (Live & Learn Section of Beacon website) are providing self-complete data on their wellbeing, confidence in learning, volunteer activities, and employment status change. Before and after measurement will provide information relating to the benefits and impact of engaging with Live & Learn activities.

Needs assessment of service users living in Niamh’s supported housing

A comprehensive assessment of Niamh service users in supported housing schemes encompassing a wide range of life domains; physical, social, spiritual, quality of life.
